I have a MGP Z490 Gaming Plus MB, all set up and working fine.
Went to upgrade the bios using the MFlash utility, but it does not see the bios files on the usb stick.
It's formatted FAT32. MFlash sees the stick, sees the 2 two folders on the stick, 7C7vA62 and system volume information (hidden folder) but does not see the actual files, it thinks the folder is empty.
Verified they are there in File Manager. Also tried copying them to the root of the usb stick.
It shows the current bios version at the bottom of the screen, but no available bios to upgrade to.

Hi,
I would make sure the files are unpacked and in the root directory of the stick.
Good luck!

to use that you need to unpack the 2 files out the file and place them on the main page of the USB stick

It will do that if it see the file as not the correct one to prevent flashing the incorrect BIOS
The Download ZIP file is named 7C75vA62.zip
Once extracted from the ZIP file neame are
7C75vAx.txt for the TXT file
E7C75IMS.A62 For the BIOS file
Do not change the file name in any way as that is what the BIOS looks for.

Double check you Board model number

No, they aren't according to your original post. You mentioned adding folders and other things to the USB. No folders go on the USB. Only the single BIOS flash file. That's it. As Alan stated in the previous post, there should be two files in the Zip. A text file and the BIOS file. Those two files (no folders) should be the only things on the USB stick. Once that's done, BIOS will see the file and flash it. If it doesn't flash it, then you don't have the correct BIOS for your specific motherboard.

no, the original post stated "Also tried copying them to the root of the usb stick" root means not in a folder. there were only the 2 files on the stick when I did that.

I've got all previous BIOS versions folders and files on my USB drive that I use for M-Flash. Never had a problem reading or flashing yet.
